  This unit was used for the design of “das Heeres-Sauerstoff-Schutz- Gerät Modell 1916 (HSS gerät). The Dräger Tubben unit was based on the injector type principle. This HSS gerät was based on the “lungoperated” principle. The HSS unit had valves that were operated by lung power (sucksion)
